Objects and Structures
Ground Trees(Movement)
In terms of structure for the ground trees, an acrylic tube and rod will be used. There will be 12 trees in total. 10 will be on ground and 2 will be hanging from the ceiling. Out of the 10 trees on the ground, 5 of them will have locomotion. The inside of the tube will have 2 servos on both sides of the tube. These servos will be attached to a 3d printed object(a 3d printed rod with a hole outwards) that will hold the rod in place through placing it through it, and aid in moving the rod 0 to 45 degrees, then back to to upright position. The neopixel flower will be attached to the bottom of the rod and the neopixels strips will be placed inside the tubes. Slits will also be made at the sides of the tube for more room for the rod to move. A “card will also be place inside the tube with a slit to keep the rod more in place. The RFID tag and photoresistor will be outside of the tube. All of these components will be connected to an arduino mini. An HC 12 long range transceiver will be placed on each of the trees for transmitting and receiving information. One extra will be used for controlling all the trees. Lastly, the structure will be screwed into a 3d printed pot.

The Lights Only Trees(Ground and Ceiling)

The lights only trees would be the same structure as locomotion ones, minus the servos. The difference would be that, metal washers and rubber washers will be placed in the rod and at the bottom to keep it in place. Quite similar to our prototype design. The ceiling trees will have holes drilled at the bottom to attach the strings for hanging from the ceiling.
