Week 9 | Initial Breakthrough For Transmitter and Receiver!

Continuing into the week, we were ready to combine the RFID tag, neopixel and servo code with the transmitter and receiver. There were some issues initially in doing that because for some reason, the neopixels were not listening to the sensors and acting on its own. The receiver was also not getting the information from the transmitter. Only when we have the transmitter and receiver touching each other then the neopixels worked. However, this is not how we wanted the information to be transmitted and received. Kimberly came to the conclusion that she has to change the code and find one that has the distance of how the information is passed. Once Kimberly did that the neopixels, RFID tag as well as the servo were able to work with the code. She was also able to figure out how to turn off the neopixels once the servo bends. This was a huge relief to us because it was an honest struggle to get all these elements to work hand in hand with each other. However, the transmitter and receiver were still not detecting each other at a long distances like it is supposed to. We still have to figure out how to get the servo motors to work accurately with the transmitter and receiver because it does not go back to its position (0) when it istapped.
