During the course of the reading week, we did 5 more balloons. Out of those 4, two of them completely deflated the next day and we were not able to salvage it unfortunately, so we had to remake them again. We were also able to create a simple system that allowed 2 people to create the molecules at the sametime instead of having 3 people working on one balloon, which was inefficient. So far we were created 5 molecules in total, 10 more to go!! Kimberly and I were also able to find a solution to saving more money, through the use of the Fade Candy. Professor Don suggested it to us and he told us that it works without an arduino and the output for the lights is a lot smoother, effective and is a lot easier to do more colour combinations unlike the arduino. The fade candy operates via a server through Max Msp or Processing. As a result, we all came to a mutual decision to use the fade candy and eliminate the bluetooth completely. The wireless idea for the was too expensive and we were not able to find the XBee anywhere. Instead we plan on having our project completely wired. It's not going to be easy since more soldering would be required compared to before. I do believe that we can do this with teamwork and being positive!
